It happened that I was in the "Sanfermines" (the fair in northern Spain where the Run of the Bulls takes place) and being about lunchtime I approached one of the typical "terrazas" (a group of tables outdoors of any tavern or restaurant where you can order for anything to drink or eat, typical in Spain in the summertime), and asked the waiter for the menu.

As I was reading it there was something I did not know, so I asked the waiter:

"Excuse me, sir, what are "cojones"?"

The waiter replied:

"Cojones, señor", are the balls of the bull who loses in the fight"

As I have a venturesome disposition I ordered "cojones" and the waiter brought a plate with two big, meaty balls in it. They were very good, so the next day I came to the same "terraza" and again I ordered for "cojones".

The waiter came with a plate having two meaty balls in it, but this time the balls were much smaller, so I told him:

"Sir, I ordered for "cojones" yesterday and they were very good and much bigger than these. These are not "cojones". What is this?

The waiter came closer to me and whispered:

"Listen, "señor", they are "cojones", but not always the bull loses".
