Happy BirthdayA man was telling another why he had dismissed his secretary.

“Listen, two weeks ago it was my 37th birthday, and I don’t really remember when I got up that morning. I went to have breakfast confident of my wife will be happy and tell me “HAPPY BIRTHDAY” and may be even he had a gift for me, but she didn’t even tell me good morning!"

I thought to myself:

“Well, perhaps the kids remember ...”,

but they came for breakfast and they didn’t say a word.

Happy BirthdayWhen I left for my office I felt completely down and I thought “Nor even the dog was grateful to me. What a funny story to be your birthday, All of my folks didn’t care about that.

”When I came into my office, my cute secretary, Jeanette told to me: “Good morning, Mr. Hamilton, and a happy birthday” At that moment I started feeling better. At least, she remember of my birthday.

After a lot of boring meetings and “riiings”, and close to noon, Jeanette came in and said. “You know, it’s a beautiful day and besides is your birthday, what about going for lunch both of us alone, you and I?”

Happy BirthdayAnd I told to myself “This is the best thing I’ve heard in the whole day.”

He took me and we went out.

In spite of going to the usual place, we went to the countryside, to a safer and more private place. We drank some martinis and had lunch. The meal was very good and we got a lot of fun.

Going back to the office, she told me:

“Listen Mr. Hamilton! Why should we spoil this wonderful day. We’d better don’t go back to the office. In spite we could go to my house where I can prepare for you some tasty martinis or whatever you want!”

Happy BirthdayOnce in her house, he turned the radio on and there was a very nice song (by the way, one of my old favorites), turned the light a little down and said nicely:

“If you don’t care I’m going to my room to put something more comfortable on. I’ll soon be back!”

She went into her room, locking the door and six minutes after she came back bearing a big birthday cake.... followed by my wife, the kids and some of my work mates, all of them singing

“Happy Birthday to you!”
