Unemployment in China How come that being China an economically unlucky country, and at the same time overpopulated, the index of unemployment is so low?

I know because someone told me about, that the salaries here are terribly low, even lower than mine (can you live with zero?)

I saw for instance, in the only one gas station I found in Nanjing (yes, those serving petroleum beer, not the ones intended to give service to the bicyclists. I haven’t forgot I must tell you about them.) And , by the way, I’ll repeat for the newcomers that Nanjing is a 2.5 million inhabitant city and 'till WWII the country's capital city.

Well, in that one and only gas station I saw how important is working in group. Yes, while in the rest of the world is very difficult finding a gas station where you don’t have to serve the gas by yourself, in that station I saw three hands holding one nozzle.

Perhaps this “only station was used by the “Nanjing School of Service Station Attendants” for its practices. May be!

Unemployment in China And what about the department stores. Yes, not as anywhere else where you see hundreds of customers and a couple of clerks. Here you see a couple of patrons and hundreds of shop assistants. I promise, it’s impossible to me doing shopping with so much help.

And what about the waiters. Really, if I can, I avoid having lunch. I try to eat only twice a day.

When having breakfast at the hotel, you should be very careful with the last piece of meal, because as you are raising it to your mouth the dish is disappearing beneath it. If the meal falls, it’s gonna reach your just cleaned and ironed pants at the level of the thighs ( have you realized I said “yours” because of my dirty jeans don’t care about that)

The other day, for instance, I witnessed a big quarrel held by four of the “garçons” at the hotel. Yes, it was Sunday, and “rilly” the dining room wasn’t precisely crowded. Only another guest and me. The three started arguing about who of them had seen the empty plate first.

And at the supermarket’s cashier? Three people per lane. One of them reads the label and says the price, another keys in the cash register and charges, and the third put the groceries in a bag. Other three are there doing nothing. I think they act as a backup of the first three, in case one of them gets sick.

Well, six people to charge you and I was the one and only customer. I took advantage while waiting there to think about a new book I’ll title “Efficiency and reliability at the cash register lanes in the supermarkets of the modern China” or may be “Highways for bicycles II” for short.

“Omicat!” Five minutes to pay for a simple chocolate bar.

I don’t really know if what I told you has anything to do with the employment rate. I know a lot of similar cases but I don’t “wanna” spoil your time.
