A pilot and a priest die at the same time and they meet at the gates of Heaven. Saint Peter looks at the pilot and says, “Just go right in.” Saint Peter then turns to the priest. “You’re going to have to wait a few hours,” he tells him, "but then you, too, will be admitted into Heaven.”

“Wait a second,” says the priest. “What’s going on here? You’re letting him in before me? I’m a man of God and he’s just a pilot".

So, Saint Peter says, “Father, you have to understand that up here we go by results. Now, you have to admit that on Sunday mornings when you were giving your sermons, two-thirds of your congregation was asleep.”

The priest rather sheepishly replies, “Well, yes, I guess that is true.”

"Now, with this pilot here,“ says Saint Peter,

“not only did he never have anyone sleeping in the back of his plane, but actually had many people praying!”
