It happens during a recent joined maneuvers among the countries belonging to the NATO (with forces from the U.S., from United Kingdom and from Spain (I think the latter formed by a sergeant from the Civil Guard)).

The joined forces are ready to carry a precision maneuver which consists of reaching a target on the ground after jumping from a plane, free-falling for 2,500 feet, open the directional parachute, glide to a faraway position, take a motorcycle (previously left there by a commando infiltrated behind the enemy lines,) ride on it ‘till finally the target is reached.

First it’s the turn of the U.S. green beret. He jumps from the plane at a height of 13,000 feet, does the free-falling and rides the motorcycle, but having an accident with it which makes the jury to consider that the successful end of the operation could have been placed at a risk. Anyway, he passes.

Next is the British, who trying to avoid the same mistake decides to extend the free-fall up to 5,000 feet (double than estimated.) He gets the best score.T

The Spaniard jumps from the established 13,000 feet, and when the 2,500 foot free-fall is completed he pulls the parachute’s ring off. The parachute doesn’t open. At about 3,000 feet above ground level he decides opening the emergency parachute. No way! At about 1,200 feet above the ground he starts cursing while thinking

"... and now I’m sure that even the bike is not gonna be there!"
